Small changes for stats system
after playing a bunch of maps on AW server
(hopfully, it will be the same for the Main
GAK IC server as well;)


for a kill = +1

for healing = +15

for reviving = +2

for PsP takeover = 0

for multikill = 0

for an assist = +15

for knife killing = +2

for headshot = +15

for teamkill = - 60

for suicide = 0

for getting kill = - 5

for respawn = 0

If possible....
for destroying targets = +15


What do you think people?

I don't get the reason for theses changes.
If the goal is to try to modify the playing behavior of players it is pointless.
What ever the stat system is it won't change the way I play.

If the goal is to play tactical then get in a locked server so only players on TS are able to get in and make it clear when the guys get in that the game should be played that way. There is enough Games hosted now that I think we can lock one of them for a period, not permanently, without any problem.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Then explain to me why there is stats at the end of each map?

I would suggest, then to erase all traces of stats, so like that
it will be a huge free for all and ok for everyone.

Personnaly, I will never accept a guy who as been kill 79 times
to be on top of the stats list, or a medic who revive the rambos
to be also on top of the board.

That is my opinion and I respect it.

I don't care if I'm - 100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 at the end of the map.

I won't change the way I play if we don't make it mandatory for every player in the server following the "rules", which cannot be achieved on an open server.

Lock the server and everybody on TS with all on the same page.

If not then all the setup does is alienate the Medics who won't play medic anymore.

I will never understand the fixation on the stats, it's beyond me.

And I do respect what you are striving for but I don't believe it can be achieved by using the stats.

Been there, Done that

It has been tried before and it did not change anything at all.

With much deliberation, I decided to mod the k9Wolfpack score system. Figured since everyones getting into the act, I may as well too. 

New stats for k9Wolfpack are:

"FRIENDLYKILL" -40
"ENEMYKILL" 5
"SUICIDE" -15
"DEATH" -2
"MEDICHEAL" 1
"MEDICSAVE" 5
"RESPAWN" -20
"DESTROYTARGET" 10
"PSPATTEMPT" 0
"PSPTAKEOVER" 7
"MULTIPLEKILL" 6
"HEADSHOTKILL" 6
"KNIFEKILL" 6
"ASSISTS" 5

Basically – DON’T Die a lot, kill teammates or respawn & you may break even on a k9Map.

There are heaps of AI on my maps (generally 350 – 500) so 3 players should be able to get a max of 2500 points for bot kills. More if you take the time to headshot, multi-kill or knife. Also, with k9Maps, you normally have at least 5 -10 goals so that can gain you another 100 points by destroying targets.

You will also find the k9Maps have a lot of PSP’s as a rule (min 10) so whilst not high scoring, there would be an additional 70 points up for grabs. Assists are evenly weighted with kills so Teamwork on vehicles would be wise, especially if your counterpart is a medic.

Unlike most stock maps which with 3 players are over and finished in about 20 mins, the k9Maps will take on average about 45-60 mins to complete. This tends to account for a normally high death rate when compared with stock maps and on average I would see players dying at least 25 times. So expect to see a -50 for dying.

Another thing worth noting is that the maps now have names and all the named versions have self adjusting accuracy scripts for the AI depending on the number of players in the game (Big Thanks to AMP for his help).

This means the maps are playable by single players and well suited to 2 or 3 players. The more players that join, the greater the AI/bot accuracy increases.

e.g.

"Map Adjusted for Single Player") accuracyspread = 40
"Map Adjusted for Two Players") accuracyspread = 30
"Map Adjusted for Three Players") accuracyspread = 20
"Map Adjusted for Four Players") accuracyspread = 12
"Map Adjusted for Five Players") accuracyspread = 9
"Map Adjusted for Six Players") accuracyspread = 7
"Map Adjusted for Seven Players") accuracyspread = 5
"Map Adjusted for Eight Players") accuracyspread = 3
"Map Adjusted for Large Group") accuracyspread = 2


So if you have not played a k9Map in a while, take another look, you may find it easier to play as a single player or with a small group.

Oh, and before asking, nope.. k9 scoring is not open for discussion (Map Makers privilege) Feel free to like them or hate them, play them or not play. If you want to make you own, please do.

The above changes will come into effect next time the k9Server is reset.

That is why, you are a 1 man clan, and
you will always be, even if your map are
...good. lol

BTW -2 being kill + -20 respawn = -22

If I play alone on your server (no medic),
I will have - anything lol.

I rather stay in KAG AW lol it will cust me
only -5 (-2 getting kill + -3 respawn)

But...nice publicity tho.lol

I plan on experimenting with some scoring in my Server as well soon here, Ranker knows what I'm talking about, (yes ranker, the example I mentioned in email the other day, may see about trying that out and see how it does)




But Generally over the last couple years I have come to realize and find that discussing the Scoring systems is well...

WOW, I think something is screwy with Forum Attachments, image isn't supposed to be blow up like that, its just a small animated GIF image...

Still, its just as funny in large scale as it is in small. Laughing

I know what you mean, I just saw JRaven signature
and it's way to big (not like I designed it)

It is like a eyeglass as been use but I don't think it's
no one fault as they still working in the server.

I will redo his signature to compensate a litle with the
zoom in effect.

Regarding the stats on YOUR server, well I, for sure,
will be willing to trie them when they will be activate.

P.S. I understand the dead horse ha ha ha

Sig size was set to 500 pixel width . Now it is set to 0 that means no resizing any more!
